  • SRA does not use global handicap numbers. We assign using our own system.
  • Should the header rope any leg during the run (horse or steer), it's a no-time.
  • If the heeler loop comes tight with the front leg in it, it’s a no-time.
  • Flagging on heels. Heeler must pull the steer’s legs back from a controlled dally.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification and is at the flagger's discretion.
  • The right to withdraw a steer from the herd at any time is permitted.
  • In the short round, qualified teams have the option to dump the first steer and rope the second.
  • A re-run can only be granted immediately after the run by the flagger.
  • There will be no reruns in the short round. No exceptions.
  • Crossfire Rule: Steer must be turned by header. The first swing of the steer is illegal.
  • Extra Runs: Ropers must pay for extra runs before they rope to be eligible for money & prizes. If roper does not pay for extra runs, they will receive half the payoff and no prizes.
